Around this time of year we often have customers hosting some sort of holiday (be it Thanksgiving, Chanukah, or Christmas) and in need of some essentials, and perhaps some inspiration.  So we thought we’d kick off November with tips for creating a casual and comfortable Thanksgiving!

We love this tablescape and think it is the perfect cozy Thanksgiving feast:

Casual Thanksgiving Inspiration

We imagine it featured on a table much like this one, currently on consignment at Home Again Design:

Consigned Dining Table and Chairs

The clean, traditional lines of this table and chairs are easily dressed up, or down, depending on the occasion.  For a more casual but elegant table, we’d begin with the soft color pallet of the tablescape above, including ivory or off-white dishes. We love how the designer of the inspiration table added the yellow glass tumblers to the table, warming up the neutral china.

Above the simple table, we’d hang something slightly more intricate and unique like this chandelier, currently in the store:

Black Chandelier

This black chandelier adds just enough personality to a traditionally furnished room, and even adds some festive flair with the harvest-like leaves!

We love the rust-colored roses as the floral arrangement in the tablescape above.  Anyone can create a gorgeous floral arrangement with a single bud as long as you don’t get too stingy with it.  We like to buy a couple dozen of the same flowers and place them in vases of varying heights.

Should you need extra seating for your casual holiday we recommend this amazing bar height table and stools.  So rustic-chic! And the perfect kids’ table!

Reclaimed Pine Bar Table and Stools

Wouldn’t this be a gorgeous feast?!
